Address: L1, 25 Ho Tung Mau street, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, D1 (on top of Don Chicken) OR No3 Tran Ngoc Dien Street, Thao Dien Ward, D.2

The one mentioned in this post is in District 1, I haven’t been to the District 2 one yet. My first impression is that the supervisor is really nice. We went there on a quiet Friday afternoon and were the only customers for the whole afternoon.

The supervisor, a friendly and warm Australian woman, showed us around the place, and even let us smell every kind of tea they have available in the store. The concept of the tearoom is that you can enjoy your tea and cakes while taking a look at the unique antiques they have, and if you like any piece of antique, just ask for the price and you can bring it home, namely the teacups you are drinking from, the sofa you are sitting on, even the mirror hanging on the wall, all of those can be bought easily. I am not a big fan of antiques and also don’t have any knowledge on the subject so I can’t say anything about that side. I will just focus on what I know, which is their cakes and teas,

To me, both their cakes and teas are heavenly made. There was a special promotion at that time, purchase of one teapot is accompanied with a free piece of cake. One piece was actually pretty big and should be enough for two people to share, if you only want a little bit of sweet with your tea. If you’re a big fan of cake, then I would recommend to buy another piece.

We ordered a pot of Red of Africa, as recommended by the owner. It is decaf since my friend can’t drink caffeine, it smells so good and goes super well with the cakes. For cakes we got a piece of Raspberry Cheesecake, and one piece of Salted Caramel Cake. Both taste soooo nice. The Salted Caramel one is heaven, salted and sweet, with crunchy caramel pieces on top, while the Raspberry Cheesecake is creamy, with sweet and sour taste of the Raspberry jam on top.

They also have a selection of savoury food, coffee and other drinks as well.

Price:

Teapot: 175,000VND

Cake: 95,000VND (one piece)

Overall a good place to enjoy your afternoon cup of tea and have a nice chat with your friends/partners. Easy to find, well-located, the outside view is nice as well since you can watch the Bitexco tower lights up at dawn.
