[Dalat, Vietnam] Thongdalat.Space Coffee

Hey everyone! I am back with another coffee-related post.

If you are traveling to Dalat sometimes soon and have time to spare, or simply just want to enjoy a good cup of coffee and give yourself sometimes to relax, I highly recommend coming to Thongdalat.space (90 Bui Thi Xuan, District 2, Dalat)

  1. Location

It is located on Bui Thi Xuan street – one of the main streets in Dalat, so if you’re staying in the city center it is probably within walking distance. Thongdalat is originally a store of Dalat’s specialities, selling stuffs like green tea, artichokes, and sweet dried fruit, and you will find all of these when you first walk inside the store. If you are interested in buying a Dalat treat, then there you go. But if you’re just longing for a coffee, a piece of cake, some winds and green cactus, then you’d be very welcome to step inside and up a little staircase.

That’s where the coffee shop is. The first thing I noticed was how windy and sunny it was at the same time. Several windows, all opened up to an open space of green fields, help bring sunshines and winds to the cafe.

One corner of the cafe is taken up by beautiful cactuses and succulents which you can buy with a pretty reasonable price.IMG_0155

2. Drinks and cakes

The menu does offer a good variety of cakes and drinks to select from. Price is nice, much cheaper than Hochiminh city for sure. I ordered a cup of Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, which I did enjoy. They also do good hot chocolate. And trust me, there’s nothing better than sitting by the window in the chilly, rainy weather of Dalat, with a cup of hot chocolate and soft pop songs playing in the background

3. Atmosphere

Nice, calming, relaxing and friendly are all I can say about this place. Staffs are mostly young people, probably students. They won’t mind you taking several pictures or chilling for hours in the cafe, which is sometimes hard to find in Saigon.

After all, I would say I highly recommend this, and I would definitely come back to Thongdalat.space next time I am in Dalat.

Just a quick updates

Hey guys!

I feel terribly sorry for not updating my blog in such a long time. I have been super duper busy with work and not really travel anywhere or going to coffee shops as frequently as I was before. I would try to go to more new coffee places so I can update something for everyone, I promise.

Another thing is that I have just thought of doing some vlogs, in addition to the traditional blogging that I am doing. I like watching vlogs. I feel like I could talk more in vlogs rather than writing down, and you guys can also listen  doing other things, so it might be a good way to get some traveling tips and coffee shop reviews without having to sit down and read.

That might be something new that’s coming up in the future, so stay tuned for more updates!

Love you XO

Sam.
